Bow down to Queen Minaj! Girl killed it on the first episode of American Idol!
We've always had mad love for Nicki and were always fans.. but after seeing her in a new light tonight, we gained even more respect for her humor and compassion!
"I believe in this girl so much" says Nicki, after a 17 year old girl who previously nailed a Carrie Underwood song, rapped her smash "Super Bass."
When Keith Urban said that the 17 year old girl needed to "decide what avenue she wanted to venture down musically." Nicki was quick to say that she "didn't need to decide. She represents a type of girl who lives on a farm but still wants to have fun to Super Bass.. it doesn't mean she wants to be a rapper."
We even saw some sly, humorous comments between her and "BFF" Mariah Carey!
If tonight's episode was any indication of what the rest of the season is going to look like, we're going to be even more hooked!
